Question for you.

The hardest part for me is deciding what to annotate, like categories etc. This often means I'm putting off starting a book until I can figure out what categories I want to annotate. So I'm asking you...

How do you decide what to annotate?

Especially if it's your first time reading the book. Do you have a standard set of categories that you go off and build from there? Do you just wing it? Tell me your ways!

four winters after i read the odyssey for class, i begin the iliad. i lost all my notes from first year, so i guess i’ll have to do a reread

no sleep, no coffee🌛

Just like the night before I slept less than 4 hours tonight, yay…Our coffee machine didn’t feel like doing its job at 6.30am (me too, my dear, me too), so the only thing that made me feel somewhat alive was todays sunset. Since the term is almost over we’re not doing too much in classes anymore. Gladly that means I can more or less relax until February. Except for homework and teachers getting on my nerves (my tutor huh). Who didn’t get on my nerves though was a friend of mine! They asked if I could give them feedback on their writing samples for their uni applications and I really enjoyed reading and reviewing it! It was a mix of short stories, text excerpts and poems; their last poem was my personal favourite :)

Now: watching soccer match, hoping to sleep >4h

The Booker Prize has been an utter joke for years now. Stone Yard Devotional, a masterpiece about finding peace in a monastery, never stood a chance. The Book of Disappearance, pure trash propaganda of terrorists and butchers of babies, is longlisted. Well done to the idiots who actually take these "awards" seriously.

More annotations on the divine comedy, my edition is written in prose for some reason so it’s not that authentic and the transaltion is kinda wonky but it was what i could get at the time
